Nothing schmick, flashy and obvious about her work - it's incredible, inspirational, unusual stuff using vintage and new side by side in glorious spaces..... YUM!

As you know, here at BedNest HQ we get our inspiration from anywhere and everywhere. Being a big movie lover (I had a weekly cinema habit before the baby BedNesters came along), I find the silver screen a fantastic source of ideas although some of the amazing houses, apartments and rooms have been known to raise a very ugly green-eyed monster in me!
The house from the movie Something's Gotta Give still makes me go dreamily swoony so many years after I first clapped eyes on its elegant, beachy, spacious splendour more than 5 years ago.

I don't know about you but, as a self-confessed interiors junkie as well as working in the industry, I have sites, shops and places that I love to visit regularly for inspiration and ideas. Often I just gawp at beautiful fabrics, pics of someone's stunning home renovation or get real ideas for a project I'm working on - other times I'm after specific info about a product - often it's just about pure relaxation, my way to unwind.
There's no doubt I've picked up some of the best hints, ideas and tips from blogs and some awesome, creative and thought-provoking interiors websites.
I've been meaning for ages to share a few of my favourite "destinations" both online and around Sydney. I'm sure you'll know some, hopefully you'll find something new and please, please let me know about your favourite places too....For today - some online places....

Posted: November 22, 2010Categories: Professional CrushRead more »We've just come back from a wonderful holiday in the Byron Bay Hinterland and were lucky enough to stay in one of the most gorgeous houses I have ever seen.It was supposed to be a total "zone out and relax" kind of holiday but the house was just inspirational and I drove everyone mad with comments like "how could we work some outdoor seating like this into our tiny courtyard?" and "I'm sure these are Mokum fabrics - this collection came out a few years ago - do you think they're still running it?"The house is an original Queenslander that was moved to the site high up in the Hinterland, rennovated and extended - it has won awards and been featured in numerous magazines.
