Creative Collaboration

One of the most enjoyable things about what we do here at BedNest is working with such an amazing range of people.

From private clients simply refreshing a bedroom, to Interior Designers looking to re-imagine an entire home and Architects who have an ability to transform a fleeting thought into a physical reality. Being part of the collaboration process is something that’s very special.

The proof is in the pudding

Our two latest additions have come from two very different collaborative approaches.

The ‘Saratoga’ is the result of working with Briar Stanley, a Sydney based Interior Decorator and creator of the lifestyle blog, Sunday Collector. Briar has had a very impressive career, having worked previously in the film industry as a props buyer and set dresser. She's worked on films such as The ‘Great Gatsby’, ‘Australia’ and ‘Wolverine’, and television series ‘Underbelly’ and ‘Paper Giants’.

Since having children, Briar now concentrates on her true passion – decorating houses.

The design is simple and elegant. With two distinct lines of piping, the ‘Saratoga’ provides an uncomplicated modern look that's balanced by its subtle soft corners…offering a relaxed and almost dreamy vibe. Like most good things in life, quality can be found in the simplicity and honesty of a well thought through idea and attention to detail.

The second collaboration, our Victoria Bed, evolved from working with private clients and the many requests for variations on pre-existing designs from our standard range.

The perfect blend of sturdiness and refinement. The Victoria lends its curved wings and shape from our ‘Brunswick’, it’s diamond buttoning from our ‘Ascot’ and is balanced by a bed base with side rails that extend all the way to the floor. Our Victoria bed creates an elegant focal point, a true centrepiece that speaks for herself and requires no introduction.

We custom make all our upholstered furniture to order and are happy to tweak to your needs. This might include selecting a fabric outside our range, altering the height or width to suit your space, adding or removing piping, studding or side wings to create a piece that is truly bespoke.
